We now have 16 (7 males, 9 females) confirmed for the trip.
*Car rental booked 08/25 w/ Expedia (Advantage), reserved 3 vans (6,5,5) to be picked up around 10 am from SLC.
*Rides to (&from) LGB airport arranged for 9/13 (& 9/20) for all. Online check-in 24 hours in advance.
*Lodge keys and direction received, make one set of keys for each driver.
*Things to bring for the trip: warm clothes for temperature H: 60's, L: 20's, dress in layers (jackets, windbreakers, fleece, thermals, long sleeves), gloves, beanies, socks, walking/hiking shoes, sandals, hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, camera (battery and charger), tripod (optional), laptop (there is internet access), maps/GPS (1 for each car), binoculars, flashlights, ear plugs (optional), down sleeping bags (optional for those who own one), hydropack if own one, swimwear, raingear (poncho), walkie talkies, batteries, AC converter, entertainment (movies, cards, games, music for the road), bug repellent, first-aid kit, other personal items, etc.
Suggest packing in duffel bags instead of suitcase as it takes less packing space and limit one duffel bag/luggage (1 check-in item, no more than 50 lbs), one backpack (carry on), one personal item (purse, laptop) for each person. Please pack light since we have laundry access at the lodge by Madison River so we could wash our clothes to wear again.
